The Danger of Smoking e-Cigarettes
Unless you have been completely left it the dark, you should be aware that cigarettes are bad for you. Hopefully you even set a New Year’s resolution to quit smoking! It is so important, however, that you do not fall for the “innocent” look of the e-cigarettes (electronic cigarettes), because there really is nothing innocent about them.
Anyone who chooses to smoke e-cigarettes needs to be aware that they contain formaldehyde, propylene glycol, acetaldehyde, and nicotine, as well as other carcinogenic chemicals. Not to mention, nicotine absorption can even be higher than traditional cigarettes due to the higher concentrations found in some cartridges. They are pretty much just an alternative way to put nicotine into your body.
Since they may seem “cool” or “trendy”, have different flavors, and are odorless, it can be easy to turn a blind eye to the facts. Plus, it’s quite concerning that many young people who never chose to smoke cigarettes are opting to smoke e-cigarettes.
Studies are still being conducted as to the full degree of danger of e-cigarettes, but the bottom line is that you are introducing cancer-causing chemicals to your body.
Smoke obviously affects your lungs, as well as your overall health. When it comes to your oral health, it can harm the density of your teeth causing staining, gingivitis, periodontal disease, and even dry mouth.
